Malden L. Mitchell
Malden’s Story
Malden L. Mitchell hails from Newark, NJ and moved to Cary, NC in 2003. He and his wife were led by faith to Cary as the result of an impactful dream. As a Marine Corp veteran, moving on a whim to various destinations without knowing the full picture has always been a part of his life.
Mr. Mitchell is the founder of The Metamorphosis Bible Fellowship ministry. As conceived by God, his vision to start The Metamorphosis began before he and his family moved to North Carolina. The crime-filled urban environment, from which his humble beginnings began, both propelled him and inspired him to start the ministry. A teacher at heart, he is a stark advocate of discipleship.
Having served and partnered with several denominational and non-denominational churches in North Carolina, serving in various capacities – worship leader, exhorter, preacher, teacher, outreach director, prison ministry volunteer and more, nothing compares to his love for marketplace evangelism. He has a passion for discipling/mentoring, admonishing, teaching, family ministry, and social justice.
Mr. Mitchell believes that through healthy relationships people begin to receive and understand the very essence of the Gospel. This is why his vision to start The Metamorphosis ministry began and why the founding basis of the ministry is based on Roman 12:2 – Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Malden has been married to his wife Tamara Mitchell for over 25 years and is the father of three amazing children – Cameron, Caleb and Caia Mitchell. Together, they share the joint vision of impacting lives and empowering people through life-on-life discipleship, hospitable fellowship, economic development – but most of all love.
